Who has ever heard of this?

We have all heard of dogs fetching tennis balls, and sticks, and pretty much anything, right? I mean it's even in their name, the Golden Retriever, The Labrador Retriever. But has anyone ever heard of a cat playing fetch?

Well, I have. In fact two of my cats LOVE to play fetch. We have fake mice, and rubber balls that me, a family member, or a friend will toss down our hallway. Our cats will then proceed to chase the object down the hallway, pick it up in their mouth, and bring it back down the hallway.

This is the part where it gets interesting. Our one cat will bring the mouse right to you so you can take it and throw it back right down the hall. And so the battle of witts ensues...This game of throwing the mouse down the hall, and him fetching it will continue until one of two things happens. Either:

1. The cat gets tired and stops fetching the toy or:
2. You get tired and stop throwing the mouse.

Weird, huh? Whoever thought a cat would play fetch!
